These hardy desert plants look great in a display, but require special care. Be sure to plant in a pot with drainage holes, as too much water will kill the cactus roots. Water thoroughly once a week. Plant in fast drying aerated soil, and place in a brightly lit area facing a south window, but be sure to provide some amount of shade at first to acclimate the plant.
